Printed Wine & Book Carton – Pack of 20

Description

The wine and book carton is the smaller of the two standard moving boxes, and it’s the one for the heavy part of a move. It measures 406 x 298 x 431mm and is sized to take 12 bottles of wine, so a case from the rack goes into one box. Books, records, tins and pantry jars belong in it for the same reason: they’re dense, and packed into a tea chest they’d quickly be too heavy to lift safely.

Each carton is pre-printed with a wine-and-books design and marked “Book Wine Carton”, “Handle With Care” and “Removals Carton”, so whoever carries it knows what’s inside without looking for a label.

Packing wine. Wrap each bottle in butchers paper or bubble wrap, stand the bottles upright, and fill the gaps with scrunched paper so no two bottles touch. If the wine is going by courier rather than in your own car or truck, add a divider insert for extra protection.

Packing books. Lay them flat, or stand them upright the way they sit on a shelf, with the heaviest at the bottom. If the box is getting too heavy to lift, stop and fill the rest with something light like towels or linen.

Tape the base along the centre seam and across both edges with clear or brown packing tape before you load it. The cartons are recyclable after use.
