Clear lets whoever unloads the pallet check it against the docket without cutting the wrap. Black hides what is on the pallet: photograph the load before you wrap it, stick labels on the outside, and write on it with a white or silver paint marker. Both are the same 25 micron cast film, 500mm x 300m, four rolls a carton.
Many people call it pallet wrap or stretch pallet wrap, and some call it shrink wrap. It is stretch film: it holds because you stretch it as it goes on, and the layers cling to each other. True shrink wrap needs heat; this doesn’t.
These are hand rolls, for wrapping pallets by hand without a machine. We don’t sell machine rolls.
It depends on the height of the load, how many times you go round and how hard you stretch the film, so we don’t quote a pallets-per-roll figure. Wrap your first few pallets from one roll and count them; that is your number.
No. Stretch film holds the cartons to the pallet, not the pallet to the vehicle. Strap or block the load as usual.
Bundling film, also called bundle film, bundle wrap or mini stretch wrap, is the narrow one: 100mm wide, for holding lengths of pipe, conduit, timber or tube together, or bed slats and a flat-pack kit on a move. It clings to itself, not to the goods. The yellow hand dispenser fits its 3 inch core; small jobs can be done with the roll in hand.
