Description
A plain, unprinted carton at 406 x 298 x 431mm, the standard book and wine carton size. It’s sized for a dozen bottles of wine or a solid run of books, and suits any medium-weight goods that need to be packed, stored or shipped.
It’s made from 3C board, which resists compression well, so full cartons can be stacked in a warehouse, on a pallet or in a storage unit without the bottom layer crushing. The regular slotted carton (RSC) style folds up quickly, and the flaps close flat for taping.
Who buys it. With no print on it, it suits despatch and resale as well as moving: wineries and bottle shops sending wine, sellers shipping books and dense stock, warehouses and retailers storing medium-weight goods, and removalists who want an unbranded box.
Books and wine get heavy quickly, which is why they go in a box this size rather than a tea chest. For wine going by courier, wrap each bottle in butchers paper or bubble wrap and add a divider insert. Tape the base along the centre seam and across both edges with clear or brown packing tape.
